Vortex Fluid Caps offer the latest in style, weight reduction, and protection.

Each is precision CNC machined and anodized for corrosion resistance. Also available in chrome.

Fuel Caps are keyless for race applications. Mix and match colors by individually ordering lid and base.

FAQ's

Q: I notice a pressure build up when I unscrew my Vortex fuel cap lid.

A: A keyless fuel cap will seem to expell more vapors than a stock fuel cap simply because the stock cap has a few stages until it is completely open while the Vortex keyless cap has just a single turn.

However, the Vortex fuel cap pressure relief valve is set at our factory to respond to a national median of fuel types and altitude.  Some customers may have to adjust this valve so that pressure does not build up within the fuel tank.

To adjust the relief valve:

Remove fuel cap base and shake to ensure there is a ‘jingle’ of the interior components (a properly functioning base will jingle).  Once that is verified, locate the small black allen screw on the underside of the base and remove.  Inside there will be a spring that can also be removed.  Clip one whole ring on the spring and replace all components for testing.  If pressure continues to build, repeat the process, removing one ring at a time.  Some pressure situations are remedied with just one ring while others require more to be removed.

If difficulties persist, call customer service at 800-440-3559 to verify fitment, proper installation and application.
