Hayes dominates Big Kahuna! Josh Hayes comfortably won Race 1 of the American Superbike on Saturday with a 10.062-second margin. He went on to repeat on Sunday to improve to 3rd place in the Championship point standings. This is Hayes 5th win of the season. He is now 4 pts behind 2nd place Hayden. Matt Mladin far ahead in the lead clinched his 7th American Superbike title.
Herrin wins his first... two! Josh Herrin fought off Jason DiSalvo in Race 1 on Saturday with a .010 of a second victory for his first Daytona Sportbike win. On Sunday he pulled away in the closing laps to secure his second win of the weekend. Danny Eslick now leads the points table by 17 points with 2 races left in the season.
